Bobby V. Duncan

Bobby V. Duncan of Abilene went to be with his Savior Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the age of 89.

Bobby was born July 1, 1932 in Lowell, Indiana to Henry and Ruth Lewis Duncan.  He served in the United States Air Force from July 1, 1952 until July 26, 1954.  He married Barbara Hill October 31, 1953 in Big Spring, Texas, and the couple was married almost 69 years.

Bobby served as Executive Vice President of Southwest Savings and Loan from 1959 to 1988.  In 1990 he joined his son, Randy, in opening Duncan & Duncan Insurance. He was a team member of Red J Motors from 2006 until his death.  Bobby was a member of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, and his hobbies included Bowling, Golf and Poker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Ruth Duncan; his brother, Burt Duncan; sisters, Betty Atkinson and Barbara Hilzey; and a grandson, Aaron Duncan.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Abilene; his three sons, Randy Duncan and wife Diana of Abilene, Ricky Duncan and wife Cindy of Abilene, and Ronnie Duncan and wife ShannaLee of Syracuse, Utah; grandchildren, Blake Duncan and wife Candace of Abilene, Taylor Duncan and wife Tori of Abilene, Zane Duncan and wife Hope of Merkel, and Jenny Treasure of Syracuse, Utah; He is also survived by great-grandchildren Layton and Landon Duncan of Abilene, Reese Duncan and baby girl Duncan of Merkel, and Grace and Porter Treasure of Syracuse, Utah.

Services with military honors will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Texas State Veterans Cemetery of Abilene, 7457 West Lake Road, Abilene.
