Lonnie Lawrence

Lonnie A. Lawrence, 84, died Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Hendrick Hospice Care. Graveside services under the direction of Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Ross Cemetery Annex in Baird with David Peterson officiating.

Lonnie was born March 7, 1936 in Loraine, Mitchell County, Texas, the second son of Charley and Myrtle Dickson Lawrence. He worked for Burroughs Machine, Abilene Christian University and FedEx, and also had businesses in photography, recording and sales.  He was a member of Clyde Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Charles and Ray, and his two wives, Carolyn and Virginia.  Lonnie is survived by his children Terrell, Rebecca and David; his grandchildren; sister Roberta Roady; nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of brothers and sisters in Christ.

Contributions are requested to Abilene Meals on Wheels or a favorite charity.

Those attending the service are reminded of social distancing guidelines.  Wearing of face coverings is recommended.
