Theresa Ann (Betcher) Evans

Theresa Ann Evans went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 9, 2021 at her home in Lubbock after an extended illness.

A chapel service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Parker-Jacobs Funeral Home in Baird, with Rev. James Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Ross Cemetery Annex.

Theresa was born in Abilene March 9, 1955, the youngest daughter of Billy O. and Ruby Mae Atwood Betcher. She was a granddaughter of lifetime Callahan Co. residents, the late Otto and Annie Lisman Betcher and Aden and Viola Tierney Atwood.

She graduated from Eunice High School, Eunice NM in 1974 and Eastern New Mexico University, Roswell Branch-School of Nursing, receiving her registered nurse degree in 1978.

She married Randy Evans March 8, 2019 in Lubbock.

Survivors include her husband, sons Stephen Scott Mitchell and wife Ann, Ryan David Mitchell and Jonathan Kyle Elbrecht and wife Tiffanie. Grandchildren include Parker Cole Mitchell, Camden Pryce Mitchell, Halle Briann Lawson and Isabel Ann “Izzie” Elbrecht.

Theresa is also survived by sisters Tommie Jones of Baird, Brenda Parker and husband Johnny of Brownwood, and Rhonda Bohr of Justin. Her nieces and nephews include Bobby Jones, Micah Ramirez, Michael Parker, Brett Parker, Liberty Skelton, Lolly Skelton and Ty Skelton.
